Is there such a thing as a perfect storm in football where the fixtures, injuries, lack of form/confidence, bad luck and amazing fortune for the opposition, all contrive to send a team down. I'm thinking there might be something in it.

has resisted writing a single post on the Ross McCormack thread !!!

what concerned me was the way we sat back after going a goal down at home.we let them control the game from the back when we should have been pressing them up the pitch. Also plan B non existant unless you call sending on the fat bloke in place of our best player a master stroke.Looking at the dugout all i could see was two old men who have seen better days and no inspiration. Can they turn it around?

What you saw with Southampton was just the type of patient composure on the ball that FdB aspired to.

No wonder he's gone.

No, they had scored their goal and stroked the ball around for the first half, then allowed us to huff and puff throughout the second.

Doesn't sound pony to me.

You wonder why the team is failing. We have sold all the strikers we had and only bought one.
With Zaha out, we are totally toothless and if Benteke gets injured we won't score ever.

The more you think about it the more our summer transfer farce seems unbelievable. What the f*** were the board thinking?

The last time I saw the players as dejected after the final whistle was at home to Everton last year. And we still stayed up and our luck changed.
Give Roy a chance to gel the team together with his methods. The players don't know whether they are coming or going with all the managerial changes over the past year. It must bloody confusing being taught different methods every 5 mins. They know Roy will be in charge until the seasons season's end so hopefully they'll settle.

Is there an echo in here?

Bless their little hearts! You'd think that blokes who play football for a living would at least know how to roll their sleeves up, give it a go and COMPETE.
