There are four apparently, got to be careful cos this is part of the government's 'Prevent Strategy' and teachers have to peddle this stuff to kids ... where I work an ex-cop with a bleach bond bob, dark roots, shoulder pads and pink stilettos drones on in that nasal copper voice that there are 4 British Values like there are 4 legs on a table, wretchedly ignorant that these values are universal and the Empire killed millions through famine, murder or slavery and that the whole notion of BV is a load of cr*p invented by some n*b like Michael Gove and will pass before another pile of cr*p is foisted upon those charged with educating the younger generation. So apologies to the cab drivers and white van men among you but here are my alternative four British Values ... please feel free to comment, or far better give us your own four... 1) snobbery Your four?

Self deprecation. Being shamed or ashamed if you're patriotic. Being a soft touch and thinking of us as individuals or those from outside before the future of our own. Too many unable to have both sides of the political spectrum come together long term for the benefit of all, or most. (Cue Vince Cable, or not). In short, staunch party support. Political apathy. An unfair FPTP voting system that's effectively made lots of people disconnected, not bothered or care, so don't vote.
