A lot of rumours going on over here that the next boss of the USA will be Big Sam. We could use someone like him but I don't think it would be a good job for him to take unless a lot of the politics attached to the job is removed. We don't even know who will be the head of the USSF after February there are several candidates challenging Sunil Gulati. Given how quickly he took himself out of the running for Leicester, I don't think Big Sam is in any hurry and once he sees the mess US Soccer is in he would be rise to run, not walk, away.

It's an odd job for someone who supposedly left us to spend more time with his family

I think it was probably his family that replied to the advert. Fed up with him being at home now!

He was approached for the Leicester job.

He said it wasn't the right time. I don't foresee any bigger or higher clubs approaching Sam. He does what he does and that's who approached him, yet he turned them down.

Wasn't their a clause that he had to pay us £2 million if he joined another PL club within two years (or something)?

He did say he wanted an international job and he might fancy a few years trawling the family around Disneyland and eating super-sized burgers. I can't see a bigger international job coming up for him.
