Gone a bit flat Funtalk has lately, too many 'favourite' and 'I like' threads, so here's another one. I have mentioned my preference for document wallets over envelope folders in another thread, paper clips come in handy, so do those thin plastic paper holders with the holes in the side so they can fit in A4 clip files (names of these babies anyone?), butterfly tacks which open up to allow rotating paper pointers give great satisfaction when required, but I'll go for the humble sticky white label, a god send when organising one's document wallets - just scrawl a heading of your choice and you are almost instantly organised. Vote for your own item and I promise to keep score.

For my sins my job is scanning NHS medical records. My prized possession is a staple remover as every clerk at every hospital in Wales, since the 1940's, has thought it the best idea in the world to staple every document at least 3 times. My scanner is Bolshy and hates staples. Staple Removers are FAB.

A Business Card Holder. kept in the top drawer of my desk.

Conveniently covers the vintage copy of Razzle, which is used for visits to the Gents

Interestingly, staple remover was the first thing that came into my head, but this sort... [Link]

I wish you hadn’t done that. I now have staple remover envy. I already have stapler envy for those huge ones that can do gazillions of pages and lean right over the paper into the hard to get at places.

In class in RE or Geography at high school there was a wall stapler left near where I was sitting. Having a bit of fun firing them into the desk or just slightly into each other's thighs (another lad and not a girl so nobody gets turned on with any Sado thoughts) I decided to take it onto fingers and fired one into my index finger. Yep, straight through the skin and deep to the finger nail. Funny at first but kept the pain in with all of us laughing. Had to approach the teacher to ask to visit the nurse. Amazingly it came out, no problem.

Gareth's favourite stapler set in jelly in the office.

Mate of mine used to love the comedy of getting his clip board, putting on a hard hat and high viz jacket he stole from a temp job and stopping people going down a street because the gas might blow at any moment.

Box files for home use or perhaps a bit of a self employed deposit box. Gone up in price recently. £5 each or 3 for £10. No order, just chuck the sh1t in and deal with it later. You can of course have envelope wallets inside with white stickers in the corners.

The clipboard is useful, it looks like your doing something but yer just walking around the workplace chatting with yer mates.

Are clipboards stationary?

No one at work got the joke when the stationary cupboard moved.
