If you were in charge what would you do to turn this mess around?

If Parish is looking for ideas as to what to do about the appalling arse he's made of all this he could try reading the first chapter of The Lord of the Rings.

In which Bilbo disappears into thin air and f***s off.

Keep working hard. There's no magic formula. We'll get there.

Teach the team to defend set plays and get them back to a natural pressing game. In January getvrid of dead wood and purchase a striker, midfielder and demand enough funds to do it. Insist on total control if transfer policy and teach Benteke how to run rhe line and start being mobile. Then listen to the likes of me moan when we do not win.

So far the holmeadale called out hennesey months ago, lo and behold sperone does well.

We called out PVA months ago, I'm sure he will now be changed for Saturdays after a shocker at bristol.

We called out puncheon 6-9 months ago, we beat chelsea with out him, loose against Bristol with him.

The long and short is that us "amatures" get it right time and time again.

I would change weak players quicker, make them earn their place.

Somehow we need to get to Xmas in touching distance of those above us and then (always assuming we can still attract new players) we have to ditch at whatever cost Mutch, Chung Lee, Puncheon, Hennessey and Kelly.
These guys are not even good Prem back up in my opinion.
We could have ditched them before but we were not prepared to waste money doing so - another big mistake by CPFC - bite the bullet when required and move on.
These guys cannot breed confidence in the rest of the squad and it makes way for others to come in.
PVA - can he continue to cock up like this - who knows - I would give him another chance but take him out of the firing line this weekend for sure.
PRACTICE SET PIECES AND LET A BIG DEFENDER MARK A BIG OPPO PLAYER - SIMPLE!

You obviously know nothing about football. The key to defending set pieces is to put your smallest player on their biggest then remain static as the ball comes in. Works every time

I think the squad now has a them and us mentality. Instead of busting a gut to get in the 1st team they now seem to have all accepted the fact that they are now regarded as the reserves and are going through the motions. With our injury record these players will be needed but it looks as though their attitude needs to change

Perhaps so. The question is then are they a) professional footballers or b) toddlers?
