Would that be the same Sam Allardyce that kept us up, against the odds, last season? Did you expect him do it for free? He had a break clause in his contract and chose to exercise it, for which I personally don't blame him. I never ever ever thought that Sam Allardyce was retiring when he walked. If they hire him, it will be interesting to see if he goes for an instant turnaround up there, or whether he lets them wither until January before getting them to spend a fortune staying up.

I hope we don't let PvA go for anything less than £60m.
