Apparently he claimed his family died in the fire. He got £12500 in compensation. What a scumbag!

Unfortunately tragedies do seem to bring out the worst opportunists. Thankfully this one was caught.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

I don't usually comment on such things I usually only post on the Palace stuff. However, this is truly shocking and I hope he does a proper stretch to ensure his exaggerations and fibs stop once and for all. It's amazing how people use such tragedies for attention and financial gain. I recall somebody utilising the terrorist attack at Borough Market pretending their family members were there, when they weren't. All for attention. I suspect there will be more issues yet. Where did all the millions and donations go?

It's just a negative side of human nature that a certain percentage out of every group of humans will lie for attention....for some twisted gain, small or large or like I say just attention. Humans are fecked up....always have been, always will be.....that's why it's always nice to find an honorable one. This case is just one of countless.....This type of behaviour was also seen connected to Grenfell in those claims by numerous individuals that they had witnessed children being thrown down to safety from various high stories. People say stuff in emotional states....some repeat what others say and present it as fact. Some just outright lie for effect or embellish......the media always eager for attention themselves, in some ways encourage this behaviour by mostly always reporting the 'exciting' over the 'reliable'. Same old, same old. When people started asking searching questions about it....suddenly it all falls away. The older you get....the more savvy you get with the media and their biases and agendas.
