Incredibly poor that it glosses over the ill feeling that arose between the two clubs as a result and that somebody died because of it.

Ferguson blames the referee. Unf***ingbelievable.

Cantona claiming that he heard Simmons calling him a son of a French whore is as unbelievable as Simmons claiming that he shouted time for an early bath you cad.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

loads of Man U supporters sitting in a members only stand too - not quite sure how it could have been such an intimidating atmosphere, as has been claimed, when probably 25% of those present were supporting Cantona's team. In my 40 years of watching Palace don't think the Main Stand has ever been intimidating - I'm still surprised when it makes any noise

Sir, I will not have you denigrate the Main Stand in this manner. I am a season ticket holder with a seat in the aforementioned stand.

As recently as the last home game someone close to me shouted some mild abuse at the referee. Please get your facts straight before making wild accusations.

Probably called him a dirty French cvnt. Split those words and they aren't inaccurate. Say them together however.

I seem to recall he was well marked in the game and that added to his frustration.

Richard Shaw all over him. Didn't deal with it very well by getting himself banned for half a season or so.

Indeed he was.... Its hard to describe how shocked us Palace fans were to see Richard Shaw go from an average bit part player in previous seasons to an outstanding centre half that season. Cantona wasn't the only top class player to be shackled by Shaw that season. He formed a formidable partnership with Chris Coleman.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Apart from Ambrose's wonder goal in the League Cup, we've not beaten them since. Whenever we play them the incident is still on my mind. How that club managed to spin the truth to the extent that EC's behaviour was somehow justified rankles with me to this day.
