I was interested to read that many Comedians are/were long term Palace fans e.g The late Sean Hughes,Ronnie Corbett,Jo Brand,Eddie Izzard,Kevin Day,Mark Steel,Neil Morrissey etc
Having followed Palace for over 50 years the only way I've survived is to have a sense of humour.Which is very very hard at present.
Is this a requirement in supporting the Eagles?
Nothing lowers my mood more than Palace losing.
How do you cope with the down periods which especially happen when were in the Premiership?

Strangely when we are going through periods of trouble like this , and there have been many, I find my passion for the club rises and I give supporters of other teams more grief if they give us stick and look forward to our next good patch when we can shove their noses in it.
Like we will when we stay up this season.

I have a feeling that Roy Hudd is a Palace supporter.
And of course comedian Barry Williams who used to be very prominent at our club.

Not forgetting of course Bob 'The Cat' Bevan.

I agree..I know many supporters of other London teams and one thing they all have in common is the respect for Palace and its fans and most admit to having a fondness for our club and support.
I know a lot of Chelsea supporters and they have a sense of entitlement but they all dread games against us for obvious reasons.
The Fulham fans I know all speak highly of Roy especially in the light of what he did with Fulham. They all say ignore his management of England,as what he achieved at fulham was incredible.
He is perfect for Palace and I have complete faith in him avoiding relegation with us.
WBA will, I fancy, get relegated along with Pulis if he lasts in the managers role.

Yes I know some Fulham supporters and they have expressed these exact sentiments to me.

And don't forget the ones in the boardroom who thought it would be funny not to buy any strikers.

I'm not getting involved in that debate.

Someone once said to me that before RDC went on TV and used to perform in clubs 'Nookie" was known as "Bollxxks" but of course couldn't use this for obvious reasons !

I find that I do not watch match of the day,in fact I avoid watching football in general. I do not look at league tables or bother to read newspaper articles written by self styled football pundits. I attend the games and have a minimum of 3 pints beforehand and it is still an enjoyable social occasion generally only spoiled by the football, although we have played much better of late. It’s probably fair to say I have fallen out of love with football and I actually am a lot better for it. I even avoid coming on HOL because generally there are 1 or 2 posters that are not content unless they have succeeded in making everyone ‘s else life a misery.
