Interesting article in this morning's Telegraph. I hope the link works OK because the paper's on-line site is subsciption only. If it doesn't I'll cut and paste another message.

Working fine. Ta. I didn't rate RLC at Chelsea but he has turned me. He is having a lot of help getting his career to new heights before actually achieving much so I hope he grasps all the opportunities.

Thanks for letting me know, Kermit. I shrewdly guess that you wouldn't subscribe to the Torygraph. Anyhow, leaving politics aside, the paper has a cracking sports team - well worth reading.

I too have been impressed by RLC so far and hope more of his potential can be realised with us while he's still here.

Great talent but a lazy git, the special one took him off in one after 17 minutes saying he can't expect his team mates to do his work for him. Unfortunately he hasn't learnt his lesson, can't believe he will get an England cap for playing 20 minutes out of 90 for us this season. Shame working with Lampard should of taught him how to act/train as a professional.

Sorry can't agree with this. How do you know how he trains with us? Lazy? Last I saw against Spurs he was out of position on the right wing but still putting in a shift tracking back. Imo after Wilf, he's our most gifted player and hopefully once Bentekes back he'll be the number 10 we've been crying out for.

Mixed feelings about him. Love to see the above 4. Thing that worries me is the game against bristol city, where you'd expect him to run the game, he dissapeared.

Who else is he going to train with?

With his physique he should be running the midfield like Yaya Toure in his pomp or more recently like the Southampton midfielder, he just wants to do the pretty stuff and leave the graft to others, closer to home he should take a leaf of Townsend's book. If we are to get out of this mess we need 90 minute players.

I agree with this - He's still very rough around the edges and needs to work more. Problem for us is can we spare the time and effort to get him to where he can run the game?

His PL stats are pretty impressive in terms of passing completion, providing scoring oppportunities etc. And we drew at the last minute against WHU, he made the pass to Wilf, that’s led to Wilf scoring. With Benteke back we are going to have a brilliant front four. He is learning and getting better all the time

Must say I gave Southgate stick for picking RLC but to be fair he's having a very good game.
