Just a few observations : wherever you choose to live. North or South, millionaire mansion or Cardboard in a Favela, Japan or California, Urban or rural.......the one constant law of thermodynamics is.....t0sser Neighbours. Hypothesis : you can meet a nice normal person in any social situation, pub/gym/work/church/walking the dog/even a stadium....all fine and dandy. But if the same individual suddenly became a 'neighbour' they transmogrify with equivalent speed as 'to Human to Zombie' in the latest Hollywood blockbuster.
can the local council produce Neighbour charts to be filled in with each individual street ? : Wheely bins, Parking spaces, Stereo noise, Pets, boundary disputes, trees, planning applications, maybe along with a property getting an Energy Certificate, it can also get a Neighbour Certificate. Discuss. Edited by PalazioVecchio (11 Nov 2017 12.14am)

Had my fair share of unpleasant neighbours living around Croydon and North Surrey. Over here my nearest neighbours are 600 metres in one direction and over 1km in all others. Perfect!

I moved to a village 5 years ago, after tiring of yellow police tape and blue lights in Forest Hill. Around 2 years ago, I hear rumours that the guy who lived opposite had taken a dislike to me. This was bizarre, as I used to do Consultancy work for his mother-in-law. That's it sorted, I thought. 3 weeks later, I have four tyres slashed in 4 days. Even the tyre shop said it was deliberate vandalism. It's all very well calling old bill, but you can't let people take the pl55 Nothing for 12 months now. Some people, whatever their environment, can't play nicely.

I have a bloke upstairs called Jim who looks after the property upstairs for some rich absentee owners and no neighbours either side (live in a basement mind, hang on I do have a back courtyard and my cat can access next doors' gardens quite easily) - no neighbours = peace. Live in harmony with nobody I say, apart Jim, my cat (and the missus). Jim supports Chelsea btw, but is a very nice bloke in spite of that. Looks after the cat while we're away.

I also have some very nice neighbours who lend me kitchen and garden stuff, dog-sit and are just all-round good eggs. Conversely, on Friday , I helped get my neighbours 4x4 out of a mud pool. What goes around, comes around

Nearest neighbour one side is 2 miles away. The other side is very good. BBQ, golf, take their dog for occasional walk, keep his tractor in my barn, he gives me homemade cider etc. All-in-all a great neighbour.

worst of all are the hypocrites. Got one lady who will go nuts if you park, on the street, outside of her house. And yet she parks in front of everybody else's house with impunity. got another bloke who went on a neighbourhood crusade about dogsh1t. And he also lets his dogs run amok with wanton abandon. He has traffic cones ( nicked from the council ) to mark his parking spot. And to mark the opposite turning-circle as being 'out of bounds'. After much hoo-ha to protect his parking space from being encroached, he now always parks in the neighbouring spot. Just to keep his space empty and 'free'. Active and fit, He campaigned to get more double-yellow lines painted. When shopping he always parks his car on the disability spot at the corner shop. t0sser neighbour. Edited by PalazioVecchio (13 Nov 2017 1.36pm) Maybe give him a legitimate reason to use a disability spot.

Does he drive around the roads erratically in a farm Land Rover, skidding up to your rear end at lights, or ignore you've pulled over for oncoming traffic when there's not enough width and just accelerate through? I hate these cvnts and they need hurting very badly. Edited by Rudi Hedman (13 Nov 2017 4.55pm)

Should've poured brake fluid all over his paint work and then had cctv cameras hidden, filming your car.
