Today (Tuesday) I decided to watch 'live' Brentford v Burton..and what a surprise..who showed up running down the wing, but our x-Scannell... You know, he showed some great skill of years ago (looked a bit like Wilf) that we sometimes watched.. What the hell happened to him ?... He looks like some weight has been put on, but for that it was good to see him... Shuld we get him back perhaps ? Heavy training needed perhaps, but some flashes of brilliance is still there I am sure.. put him on our back burner? if we can have PVA, Mutch,Lee, etc.. whats wrong with Scannell..

Never rated him when we was at Palace, certainly not good enough now, hence why he is playing where he is. Was only a fans favourite as he was an academy product. Used to have pace but no skill or flair. Would just knock it past the full back and try to beat for pace. Scored a cracking late equaliser against Sheffield Wednesday (I think) in a midweek game and was a Hillsborough hero, so I’ll give him that.

Huddersfield signed him when they were promoted to the Championship and loaned him out to a Championship club as soon as they were promoted to the PL; that tells you all you need to know.

Played a crucial role in that momentous day at Hillsborough, and thank you very much for that, but couldn't find the feet to progress much beyond that.
