Good team. But RLC has to fit in there somewhere.

I’d keep benteke on the bench we play too static and predictable with him as the main striker

walking down the holmesdale road to see the palace aces!

True, I think I meant Loftus-Cheek instead of McArthur. Too busy thinking about whether Tekers should start.

That's the team I'd go for with RLC instead of McArthur as you said, Tomkins was excellent along side Sakho last season so Dann makes way.

This ^^^^

We're playing good football without him so he has to earn his place back via minutes towards the end IMO.

Tomkins should get a chance at CB alongside Sakho.

With the only question being who plays RB & LB.

Maybe for continuity we keep Ward and Schlupp however TFM and Ward is also an option.

Wards playing well so if TFM did come in I'd move Ward to the left.

We are at home and are desperately in need of 3 points, and as they say, fortune favours the brave.

I would go with...

Speroni

TFM Dann Sakho Schlupp

Zaha Cabaye Luka Townsend

RLC

Bentenke

Hopefully Shaqiri is out as he has been a big player for them this season. If they go with a back three then Zaha and Townsend could cause them problems, but they are strong in the middle with Allen and Fletcher. This is going to be a harder game than Everton, I think, but hopefully the referee will be more competent (or at least make mistakes in our favour!)

Hard to say whether Benteke starts. Probably not, but if he doesn't he almost certainly does on Tuesday. Question is which team is he more likely to be effective against. I think probably Brighton.... It's away, we'll have less of the ball and so will need him as an out ball, which is what he's good at.

This would be my team, get thd wingers out wide and RLC supporting benteke, Cabaye and Luka in front of the back 4. Best first 11 we have.

Agreed, however we need someone for their centre halfs to kick up in the air, (which you just know is going to happen), so I would rather it was Benteke than Wilf. Wilf can play just a bit wider with Benteke in the team and hopefully rip 'em apart.
