I was speaking to a Brighton season ticket holder i know, and he said that along with some other Brighton supporters, they all think Palace have the better players. He believes only three of their starting eleven could walk into the Palace team. They are right back Bruno in place of Ward, then Dunk instead of Tomkins or Dann, and finally Knockaert in place of Townsend. Other than that, everyone else that we have they would love to swap for. I think that is a fair assessment. We have under performed for the most part this season due to various circumstances, but have in the recent games started to show our true potential, if not yielded the points total we should have. I did ask him why he did not think Glenn Murray should be in our side and he simply said a fit sharp Benteke should still be a level above and that Murray should have stayed and been a bench option for us

What an odd Brighton supporter. Is there any other kind? On paper of course we have some classy players, hasbeens or not - looking at you Christian - but as a team as it stands they are better than us so why on earth would he swap eight of his for eight of ours?

Based on Saturday I wouldn't swap Tomkins for Dunk. I think he and Sakho can handle Murray OK but Groß can cause trouble too.

I would take their keeper though. Whoever he is, he has to be better than our lot.

In my opinion I would only choose 2 of their players over ours but you don"t win matches on paper! It will be a tough match tomorrow & not much in it but I think we will scrape a win!Well I hope so!

Palace better players For now But we are improving albeit at an infuriatingly glacial pace. It's their squad that will cause them to free fall from the winter as injuries and suspensions cripple them. Trust me, we will pass them on the way up about mid Feb.
