Happy with the point and to be off the bottom. Even more happy I don't have to watch that smug b*stard Pardew gloating after a first up win.

bit of a catch 22 now. We don't want Bournemouth going too far ahead so need West Ham to not lose to them but that means we drop a place.

I have to say, in some way I think Benteke hinders our attacking option. When we had Townsend and Zaha up front we had to think about things more and it made the play more exciting and now it's just hoofball to benteke again. We do play some pretty good stuff on the ground when we choose to

I actually completely agree with this, thought it all game. I'm not a Benteke hater at all either. But we seemed so much sharper on the ball and quicker in possession. It's almost as if Benteke is used an excuse to launch aimless balls forward.

We're the Arthur over ere!

BBC :

"Another goalless performance from Crystal Palace on the road today.

They are the first English top-flight team to fail to score in 10 away league games in a row since Man City in 1950."

Totally agree, Benteke should be brought on later in the game if that's not working. We're too predictable with Beteke up front for the whole match. I think it would benefit him too, give him a reason to fight for his time on the pitch.

Out of the ground and waiting for a delayed train at the Hawthorns. Slippery rails apparently!

We were poor up top and I don't think it's a coincidence we've lost a lot of our threat since Bentekes come back. Telegraphing the ball to him each time we go forward is too much of an easy read for oppo centre backs.

Still respecting the point though!

A useful point but I am still disappointed we only have 2 points from the last two games. We need to do better.

Let's be honest, both teams were absolute garbage. No patience, no composure on the ball, no measured build up play. Just crap.

You can't keep defending your way to "success", whatever that means for us and expect it to work indefinitely. It isn't sustainable, at some point we have to improve in possession. It's not about being a gung ho all out attacking team, it's about being better on the ball.

What's frustrating is up until the Brighton game, we looked to be playing some decent stuff. Good and intricate play in the final third, Wilf and Andros causing teams all sorts of problems in behind too. Today and Tuesday was just hit and hope at best, which makes it even more confusing.

Today's games are the type of games we need to try and win. If we were 15th at the start of the game I'd take the point, but approaching the game in the way we did today is completely underestimating what is required for safety. We didn't look like scoring at all.

Having said all of that, I think the Joel Ward haters can give it a rest for a little while now. He was exceptional today.

What was important today was not to loose and keep an unbeaten run going. A draw takes us iff the bottom, a loss wouldnt have. We seem to play much more defensive away, which you'd expect, stay in the game and try and nick something. I reckon we'll be much more adventurous at home in thd next 2 games. I reckon were quite capable of getting 4 pts from next 2 home games, which would mean unbeaten on 6 games and hopefully out of the bottom 3.
