From 2019-20 200 of the 380 Premier League games will be broadcast live on TV. So more than half of the games will no longer be at 3pm on a Saturday. There will also be 8 Saturday night fixtures. In my view this is totally excessive and not good for fans. I feel slightly sorry for fans of teams like Manure who go to away games and for whom it will only get worse.

I see that the "greed is good" Premier League has not learned any lessons from the NFL. Broadcasting games on Saturday night, in addition to Friday night, Sunday and Monday nights, will only dilute its product and will lead to lower ratings and interest. They need to drop both Friday and Saturday nights from the package.
