Get well soon Chris. The only flashing lights we want are on the xmas tree. Always marvelled at that song, and wondered what crappy car, congested road or long-haul family life the fella had. Maybe he was driving an ice cream van.

I saw him twice about 30 years ago. The first time was at Wembley Arena where he put on a highly polished show and the second was in his native North East where his set was less polished and more outright rock. A great musician and from listening to various interviews over the years a nice bloke too. Let's hope that he makes a full recovery

saw him in Hammersmith on the 26th November he was in great form and a great show .
