I am delighted to report that after having read various posts on holmesdale.net, it would seem that as a result of Luka's strike at Southampton we have survived the drop; that our form is now so stellar that we can easily expect a top half finish at the very least.

This is fantastic news. I can't tell you how relieved I am that for once we have absolutely nothing to worry about! Well done to the players, the management, coaching staff, the chairman and directors and not forgetting all the staff behind the scenes!

I know it would be unusual but perhaps an open top bus parade could be organised to celebrate this magnificent achievement for, say, early February.

Oh come on! Even I'm not this miserable - and I thought we were relegated three months ago, only for us to go on an eight match unbeaten run the next week!

Not sure why you and others are getting their knickers in such a twist. I'm just reporting the joyful news that the general consensus on here (even though we're just two points above the relegation zone) is that our premiership survival is cut and dried. Surely a case for celebration.
