New US Trade Tariffs

With Trump doing what he said he was going to do (fair play) by placing tariffs on White goods and Solar panels (in some instances up to 50%), will this help us in our BREXIT talks over trade deals? Could it be that being one of the Euro Zones biggest importers we too could use this as a key negotiation card?

Seems perfectly sensible from the US point of view. They have a large trade deficit with both countries and their own industry for both products.
