Good for the players but bad for the TV companies?
Good for you and I?

What on earth? That’s a risky proposal. I’d rather an Xbox 36 or a PS.

... A Winter Break.

I'm all for this so long as there is a rule that teams are not allowed to play matches during the break. Otherwise they will be jetting of the the US and Asia for little mini tournaments and picking up yet more injuries.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Agreed it should be January and used to allow the clubs to focus on transfers and to integrate the new signings into the team. The weather is poor and people don't have any money. Hopefully this will help England in tournaments although I am clutching at straws on that last comment.

Absolutely this. No games allowed during it at all.

Might as well move the transfer window to the same time.

Looking at the 4 major leagues in Europe, at the last 'Winter Break' :

Germany 22 days
France 16 days
Italy 14 days
Spain 11 days.

Do their teams play non competitive games over this period?

All I know is that certain teams go abroad for warm-weather training or 'Winter camps' as it is sometimes called. Some have been out to Spain, Dubai and Doha and some have been to Belek in Turkey staying at the 'Cornelia Diamond' Hotel which I understand is plush.

The clubs that stayed in Germany had a collective total of 8 friendly games in that period.
