Are We A One Man TEAM

Brinscall Eagle Flag Brinscall Lancashire/ Villamartin ... 06 Feb 18 9.00pm

All this talk of injury to Wilf Zaha resulting in doom and gloom about our chances for survival suggests that some of our fans think we are a one man team.
Well this is completely disrespectful to the management and the rest of our squad which is full of high quallity players. Yes Wilf is a crowd pleasing maverick type of player but in no way is he alone responsible for us picking up points following the disastrous start to our season. He is one player amongst many others , it is a team game and just because he will be missing for a bit does it mean the team will fall apart. The whole group is better than that. COYP

That doesn't change the fact he is our best player, but agreed nonetheless. He has been below par recently but we've never looked dead and buried in any match bar arsenal.

When it is pointed out that we picked up no points and scored no goals whilst he was out of business the following factors also reigned at that time:

- no Mamadou Sakho;
- four matches of Frank de S***e and their aftermath
- players pardewed before the season even started
- Puncheon mistaken for Pele

Milivojevic in particular was a shadow of his usual self.

We were toilet all over the park, not just right wing.

Agree with the OP. Some fans need to get a grip and have a little faith.
Whatever happens just wailing and fretting is not going to help , we just need to get behind the team and do our bit to help the cause .

I cut and post the excellent 'speech' made by Ollie's Dad.

As we welcome adversity and bad luck we will revert to the Palace of old with our backs against the wall,our voices will become louder and our support unconditional. Our spirit will rise and we will become as one under our leader Roy.And through the gloom the heroes in red and blue will triumph, against all odds and the special ones will step forward to reshape our destiny as only ever happens in the magical kingdom of Crystal Palace FC! And every one lives happily ever after............ even Jordon Mutch. Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Agree with Chateau. Whilst we look like less of a threat without with, this season, when he was out, we had FdB and played 4 of the top 6 at that point.
