Just been watching WBA v Ston on BT.
The commentator is a female......Robyn something.
I know we are living in a mad PC world and BT probably think it is wise to put on a female for a bit of balance, but come on BT her voice and commentary is like listening to some kind of funeral march. Dull, depressing, and generally very boring.
Soory Robyn, nothing personal, but give me John Motson etc any day over that.
Made me realise just how good most football commentators are......and yes they are ALL male.
I honestly think the female voice is lacking on many fronts to deliver on football. Call me sexist go on miss my point. Throw the pathetic PC book at me why don't ya.

but jeff Stelling is cool .

Certainly a font of football knowledge and a very estimable chap.

Possibly Robyn Cowen ?

Women have been more prevalent on the TV in relation to football of late.Kelly Cates was on' The Debate', Alex Scott has been on a few times of late and Steph Houghton was a studio pundit recently.

I recall the late Sir Patrick Moore used to say that female broadcasters lack the vocal power needed to deliver.

It's odd that Sky have decided to crowbar a woman in to almost every live match coverage, yet it's the first season that Soccer AM hasn't had a female onscreen.

It's fine when they host it like Kelly Cates does, but Steph Houghton being a pundit in a men's game was irrelevant as she could offer no insight or experience of playing for or against either team, nor anyone who was playing in it.

Funnily enough the drill on Soccer AM this week was 3 Chelsea women pros versus 2 ex-footballers and a presenter, the women got beaten easily.
