Exactly, but he wont. So the best thing to do is ignore him and don't comment.

Anyway - Dermot Gallagher on Sky reckons the decision was correct in spite every commentator and every person I know (Palace, Chelsea, neutral) saying its a bad decision. I don't know why they bother with his ref watch article, basically just tries to find a reason to stick up for the decision.

With the greatest of respect I was responding to comments aimed at myself whereby certain posters were posing questions about incidents.I respectfully stated that I wasn't in a position to judge as I hadn't viewed the incidents to which they were referring. So my posts were in response to those who tried to draw me into a debate about the referee.

Maybe the debate can return to the subject matter of the referee and NOT evolve into discussion about 'Yours Truly'. Thank You.

All refs in the Prem and mainly across the board are absolute ball sacks towards the lesser teams. The past couple of seasons of referring performances against us when we play the big sides has almost stopped me wanting to go to the games.

"We love you Palace, we f@cking hate Man U, We love you Palace, we hate the brighton too, We love you Palace we play in red 'n' blue, so f@ck you, and you ...

I like to think that Dermot Gallagher who was an experienced referee who officiated at the highest level is better placed to form an accurate assessment rather than the likes of some supporters and pundits who have NO experience at all of such matters and possibly are not Au Fait with all the rules.

And he certainly does NOT always agree with the decisions of the referee whom he recognises has to make split-second decisions in real-time whereas he has the benefit of replays and 'Slow-Mos'.

I am happy to accept Gallagher's opinion that the decision was correct.

I do think Dermont gives a fare view but the reason this time he said it was right doesnt seem right,He said it was in the interest of the players safety,In which case a ref needs to call a foul everytime a tackle is made even if you pull out of the tackle and dont touch the player, so when is a foul a foul

I thought you hadn't seen it? My your reasoning we shouldn't comment on anything then? chances of relegation, who we should sign, who's playing well - none of us are coaches, commentators or scouts so maybe we should leave it to the professionals?
How do you lure me in to replying every time? You are very good at what you do.

I haven't seen the incidents in question hence my comment that I am happy to accept Gallagher's viewpoint given that he was an experienced referee who officiated at the highest level.

As a "palace fan" I assumed you'd have made the effort to see it yourself by now and draw your own conclusion rather than sending 10 replies on a thread about it. this is where you let yourself down - its a bad decision, clearly a bad decision not one of the many "palace tinted spectacles" one's that we get on here. You really fascinate me Willo.

I haven't been able to see the incidents on the Links provided as I have mentioned more than once on here.

In terms of sending "10 replies" all I have been doing is responding to posters who have been seeking replies or have involved me in their posts hence my responses.

In the final analysis, what has happened in that game has happened so let's look forward to the next game and beyond rather than dwelling on incidents in past matches.

Finally, I note your "Palace fan" comment. As I have said on numerous occasions I have been an avid supporter since the 60s and experienced all the peaks and troughs over a long period. So I would urge you not to cast doubt on my allegiance to our club.

Okay fair point, but you you did still defend a refereeing performance that you haven't seen so if you aren't on the wind maybe you shouldn't have commented.

For what it's worth, I beleive you are a Palace fan, I just think you like to get a reaction.

You are a right wind up.

Every single Chelsea fan I know said it should have been a goal. You CANNOT give a free kick in anticipation for a foul. The foul must happen to be able to award a foul.

Thread closed due to my request to discuss the incident and not Willo, being completely ignored.
