Like everyone, there are times when I've been goaded but I've never spat at someone in retaliation. Coupled with the fact that he's not a very good pundit and too partisan to fulfil his role, I can't see why his employers would keep him on.

First thoughts were that they would keep him as they are very heavily invested in the relationship between him and Neville. Having now seen the clip, think he's a goner. Losing your temper is fine, I've got a relatively short fuse when pushed on certain things. Spitting at someone over being goaded over football is indefensible

Wouldn't be totally surprised to see him get away with it - Gerard being on film beating someone up and getting away with it springs to mind and I fully expect Stokes to get away with it as well. That said commentators are more disposable than players as they have less value so I guess we will see!

Technically, that's an assault on a minor. I don't think that an apology will cut it. On a different note, his punditry is so biased. I hope sky do get rid. As a pundit, he's worse than Savage and Claridge and that's saying something.
