Roy stated Tomkins, Zaha and Sorloth will be assessed tomorrow. Tomkins a doubt

Wickham picked up another injury yesterday (groin) so is injured.

Schlupp also out.

RIP staffie

I just do not understand!!
Tomkins was fine after the Huddersfield game butnow injured?
Wickham nearly there and gone again.
We are doing something wrong in training - we must be!
With a full team we had a chance- but Saturday now - .........

Come on! The only real surprise is Tomkins!
Wilf was always a doubt when he hobbled off
Schlupp we know about from the last game
Sorloth we know about and he may return
Injured is always Wickham (correct sentence structure)
JT is a big kiss but he hasn’t seemed 100% for a while now

What we are doing wrong in training is training!
You get injured in training - it happens.
Unless you’re Wickham in which case you get injured by the cottonwool you’re wrapped in!!!

Don't you dare say That!! His supporters will be on here in a minute still insisting that his sicknote title is unfair!!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

The good news it's a groin injury, which usually aren't too severe. Probably just from a lack of actually training on a pitch. Imagine he'll be fine in 2 weeks.

I recently suffered a groin injury and it took me 2 months to shake it off, although he has supposedly top dolla treatment so hopefully it will be max a month setback

If Zaha is even a slight risk i would rather rest him for the Liverpool game and back for the more winnable games. Disaster if plays Saturday 75% fit and pulls up injured then out for several matches.

When I read this article it does make me wonder whether these players suffered the same injuries but just didn't get as incapacitated as modern footballers (especially when you read of the situation the soldiers were in before and after the matches)

Great read but they were playing against each other ie each side played 403 mins and no pressing in those days either. Scary though.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

With regards Wickham, lets not panic, he will be fit to start in 2025, so lets give him an extended contract until this time.
