Alleged to be the easiest run in of all the bottom teams BUT with the amount of bad luck and lack a striker that can actually kick the ball in a straight line a loss at Bournemouth will, I believe see our belief and fragile confidence evaporate.... we will unfortunately fall at the last hurdle when Pardew comes to Selhurst ... it’s written in the stars !

A pessimist or an optimist with experience of following the Palace fo well over 50 years .... been there and seen it so many times, l do so hope that I am wrong as I believe Roy is an honourable man who deserves more.

Bournemouth concede goals but they score goals. They have scored in their last 13 PL games. That said we have scored in 10 of our last 11 PL games.

I've never felt this was an easy run-in, it's all against teams who have points to play for, some if the mid table and top teams will have their flip flops on end of April

if we get some points, we may take it to the wire.

Perhaps it will all be over by the time we play Leicester.

Just gotta keep banging away until it's over. One way or t'other

Heads up lads.......
Looking positively at things, we are one player away from being a top 10 team.
If we had any top striker in for Bentek we would have scored 20 goals already and we would be right up there.
We have got so much quality in the team we just need a goalscorer.
The others will give him all the chances he needs.
Im sure we've got the necessary to stay up, so we are so close to the big time.

Interesting comment, most on here think our squad is pony and doesn't have any depth at all. You think one player will make all the difference, who is he?

There are no easy games and the margins are so fine.
Our finishing has been abysmal all season (not just Benteke) and we've become too reliant on penalties. Hard to see where the goals are coming from.

Can't agree with that at all.

Benteke is the most obvious candidate, but our problem this season isn't just him missing chances or WH not making saves, too many of our experienced players aren't doing their jobs.

Tomkins has been excellent for most of the year, and Wilf has been sublime, with a couple of quieter games thrown in. Cabaye has been generally good when fit, and since coming back into the team PVA has been one of our better players.

If you really look hard, outside of that we're not living up to the billing. Townsend has been generally poor this season without many people commenting. Sakho has had a couple of shockers, even at Huddersfield he nearly gifted them a goal, and considering the amount of minutes he's played he is nowhere near justifying his fee. When he was fit Dann wasn't playing particularly well.

I suspect many will disagree, but I think Luka is prone to some horrendous lapses in concentration. He's still one of our better players, but every game there seems to be a couple of howlers in there as well.

Then we're into players like McArthur, Kelly, Schlupp who give you everything, but when the so called 'better' players in the team aren't pulling their weight, their weaknesses are exposed.

If we go down Benteke will get all the blame, but there are plenty of other players in there who aren't living up to their reputations.

Put Messi in and hey presto.

Kane, Suarez, .......top tier, just one.
Like when we bought Don Rogers, or when Ian Wright arrived on the scene.

Yesterday our team did really well against LIVERPOOL.
Just like they did v Man U, Tottenham and second half stamford bridge.
At Huddersfield we caned them.
Under Roy we have become very well organised and so long as the players keep their heads (Sakho) we are a very useful outfit.
Once the players recover to full fitness like Cheek and Zaha and Shlupp and Sako and Sakho and even Cabaye we will only get better.
We just need someone to knock them in.

We are where we are because they are all awful in front of goal. No one can execute a shot bar Sako and we don't have anyone who can score a free kick. Under pressure we appear to have no one who can keep their technique in tact.
As for the easier run in, it is. You can all argue, but why?
We have this run in

Bournemouth
Brighton
Watford
Leicester
Stoke
WBA

Or would you prefer
City
Brighton
Spurs
Utd
Stoke
Chelsea

I know which one I prefer.

There is only 1 team in the bottom 9 who have score more goals than us - W.Ham.
