Let’s Stop Picking Out Individuals & Support Them

I can’t believe some fans we have one of the best defenders (Sakho) I have seen at Palace in my time the way he brings the ball down and try’s to play out of defence is excellent of course by doing this you will be prone to the odd mistake. I believe the record this season with him and Tompkins playing together it’s something like 10 game 5 clean sheets and 5 goals conceded this says it all to me on how important they both are to our team. The only problem is you can’t build a solid platform on players that can only play 10 or so games together without constantly getting injured something we are going to have to look at. On a slightly different note why nobody can deny that CB needs dropping we also have to acknowledge his header that played Zaha in for the penalty also when strikers go on a Barron run they get taken out of the firing line to help stop there confidence being to smitherinens unfortunately cause of bad management at the start of the season in not buying another striker we have not been able to The the pressure is constantly on CB and unfortunately it has had a massive impact on his confidence and him as a player. We need to support these players not constantly knock them even some of the big players at other teams have struggled Lacazette at Arsenal to name one but you don’t become a bad player over night. Let’s support the guys we have 6 big games with 2 wins required to stay up. Come on Palace we can do this together. Edited by dazza (01 Apr 2018 6.40pm)

Any defence will make mistakes and concede goals if the team keeps giving the ball away and letting the other lot heap pressure on them for ninety minutes.

great post. if our wingers did their defensive job properly we would be in better stead. also if our crosses from full backs/wingers beat the 1st man bentekkers would score more headers. its very easy to pick fault in people, its harder to find solutions, we cant afford perfect players so we need to get the best iut of what we got

If. as a striker, you've only scored 2 goals at this stage of the season clearly you're obviously not doing your job and YOU need to sort out your game and not blame anyone else. If your response is one of sulky arrogance then clearly you're failing as a person. If we get relegated, and for me that's still a huge if, what is clear to me is that this lumpy of s***'s mistakes, selfishness and petulant attitude throughout the season singles him out as being more responsible than any other player. As you can tell I hope the rumours of Useless Benmy f***ing off to China are true.

A very good OP. It's a shame some numpties just have to post the usual negative sh@posters can't just stay on the negative slag the players off threads and have to try and infest anything positive. COYP

People expect too much these days. "I paid to watch a football game, and I expect passion, commitment and three points, delivered on time and to budget," they'll say. Football is a not a customer-centric game. You can't get goals on demand, or your money back. Even Wilf Zaha can't offer a service level agreement with penalty clauses built into the contract. (Mind you, he does win penalties. And sometimes the refs are quite generous. He's more Penalty Clause.) I can't find fault with any Palace players. They all give everything. Some obviously give more everything than others.
