Crouch (suggestion)

Given the incessant speculation linking us with Crouch over recent years (which has died down recently), and given Stoke's likely demise, what do we think about signing Crouch for a final year in the Premiership. Proven goalscorer, good back-up player, would probably be available on a (near) free and would likely have 5+ goals in him next season. I have no links, and no inside track, I would just be interested in thoughts.

Would rather have Mitrovic...then he can play with his mate Luka! Very underated and an out and out goal scorer although I would think Fulham would also want to buy him!

Wouldn't want him. I reckon we could take Llorente from Spurs tho? He'd be good for next season as a back up striker.

If we could pick up Crouch on a free, then I don’t see the problem with having him as an option for on the bench, perhaps giving Sorloth a season to bed into the team and Lookman a punt. This would still be a plan for the future, even though Crouch is aging. It would certainly be more of a plan for the future than spaffing our money on Llorente, who only signed for Tottenham for £12 million plus last season. I am not particularly evangelical about it, I don’t really care either way. I was just interested in views.
