Interesting to read RLC say it is good to play “as part of a team” at Palace. You do start to wonder what the team spirit is like at the top end. A badge, a pay packet and a bunch of individuals?

Always remembering walking from the Holmesdale to the Whitehorse end at half time!

I think at Palace RLC feels he is an integral part of the team. At Chelsea he is probably one of many fringe players. If he was a regular he would probably feel different. Anyway I hope that this sways him to coming to us permanently.

One more point

RLC has made 23 appearances for us this season.

At Chelsea last season 2016/17 he made 11 apps and the season before 17 apps but I think a lot of his Chelsea apps have been from the bench and maybe he didn't get too much time on the pitch when he came on.A bit-part player at Chelsea but not for us.

Would love to see him at Palace next year, but it all depends on the World Cup. Would probably do us a favour if he didn't get picked.

Surely after Chelsea's average season, by their standards, he wont be getting a look in as they look to bolster their squad next year round. They haven't spent much over the past few years compared to their rivals and could see a big influx of players this summer, especially with a new manager:

- Barkley
- Kante
- Fabregas
- Bakayoko
- Drinkwater

Every chance he could be back with us season (being optimistic)

Dont let Cabaye go

I wouldn't be so sure, especially if they get a new manager
Barkley is injured a lot, Fabregas on decline (they should have used him off the bench like they did when they last won title), Bakayoko was a big mistake and Drinkwater wants out
I think he will fancy his chances there for at least one more year unless they buy a world-class star in his position

I don't think that one can generalize but it seems that Chelsea didn't have a happy dressing room but the major cause of that disappeared North up the M6 in January

I have noticed over the last few matches during warm ups and as the players come out after half time etc that RLC and Wilf seem pretty close. Good to see and I think noticeable in their link up / understandng on the pitch too in recent games.

Every chance that Conte will not be at Chelsea next season.

He just doesn't seem interested any more. The Conte of old was animated on the touchline and celebrating with the supporters but at present he just sits in his chair without showing any passion or interest at all.

As for his interviews - so darned boring and downnbeat and I don't bother listening any more.

Which is exactly what would happen to Wilf if he went the other way.
