Hi I'm planning to introduce my six year old son to the joys of live football next season, and Crystal Palace is our local club. Any suggestions on child-friendly parts of the ground would be great. Also, how easy does it tend to be to get tickets for weekend games, including big matches? Cheers.

The Whitehorse Road end is the family stand. Tickets for the big matches are very difficult, in fact you have to be a member to purchase any tickets. Your best bet is to look for a pre-season friendly match, which never sell out, or an early cup match which also never sell out and are often half the price of league matches. Alternatively look for a Bromley or Sutton match.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

if you're a member I reckon you'd get tickets somewhere in the ground -- often in family friendly areas -- provided you book early. If we have a good season it might be tougher.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Buy your kid a gold membership and they get a free shirt. I sit in the Arthur with my boy. Easy to get tickets if you are organised. Except against the top 6.

if your six year old hasn't been to a game before and you don't know how they may react in a crowd then I'd suggest going to one of the England games at Wembley first. Usually get an adult and kids ticket for £30 all in. If that goes well then a gold membership for yourself will let you buy two tickets for each game. Although for a six year old new to palace the kids gold membership is a good deal - Stadium tour, Christmas and pre season parties / meet the players and train like a pro day all came part of the package.
