Just signed a three year deal at Southampton as a reward for keeping them up. A good move for the Saints??

So that's at least 3 months work for Sparky. Certainly had the last laugh on Stoke, who 'should have sacked him earlier'. What constitutes a good job for Saints next year, I would think mid-table respectability. They will probably sack him for that as well !!!!!

Quite likely. Less than a year ago, they sacked the fella who had achieved 8th place in the Prem and a Wembley final, in which they arguably were ‘robbed’. Edited by YT (26 May 2018 2.20pm)
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Keeping Hughes on is a good move for Southampton - provenly successful. Issue with Southampton has been selling off best players and not reinvesting properly. This past season's team, like Stoke; WBA and Swansea also need to take a hard look in the mirror as they have woefully underperformed. Palace's drive and desire when faced with comparably vastly depleted resources, was one of several important factors for The Eagles staying up.

3 year contract. 3x38 games... number of 'sour grapes' comments about the referee per game = thousands of hours of him badgering and dissing referees. I hope the referees mark his number and nail him on the big day when it will matter. PS. i am convinced that Jose ManUre-Ho is getting payback from a career of abusing referees....but of course you can never prove it. Edited by PalazioVecchio (27 May 2018 11.18am)
