Lucky loser (someone who loses in qualifying but asked to play after someone pules out) Marco Trungelliti is asked to compete in the French Open has to ask his nan to get out of the shower for him to have a shower then get to Paris from Barcelona by car to play in the French Open which he does & wins his 1st round match.

At least the player pulled out. There were a lot of players last year playing one set and retiring so they got their appearance money in that round.

There has now been a rule change for The Grand Slams in relation to this & consequently there are 8 lucky losers at The French Open - 'If a player pulls out injured before stepping on to court, they receive 50% of the prize money and the lucky loser takes the other half. Previously, the injured player received nothing if they withdrew and took all the money if they started the match but later retired.'
