I was expecting some sort of scatological story based around his bedroom antics.
Unfortunately, it transpires his (ex)girlfriend didn't like his newly-acquired hot water bottle.

"A BOWEL disease sufferer has claimed that his girlfriend dumped him in hospital days after he had a stoma bag fitted because she didn't want to be "his nurse" - before starting to date his best friend.

Luke Benham, from Eastleigh, Hampshire, had been with girlfriend Rose for two years and was planning to take her away on holiday so he could propose.
But the 28-year-old's plans went out the window when he was rushed to hospital with intense stomach pains and vomiting blood on Valentine's Day earlier this year.

Doctors diagnosed him with ulcerative colitis, a chronic inflammation of the large intestine similar to Crohn's. As a result, Luke had to have a stoma bag fitted.

Luke, who works in a warehouse, was then dealt a further blow days later - claiming that Rose broke up with him in hospital, informing him that she did not want to be "his nurse".

His heartbreak deepened when she began seeing his friend Tom, who Luke and his mum Debbie had in the past allowed to live with them." (The Sun online, 1/6/18 )

That's a bit of a 5hltter

I heard a similar story,

This lady was a pensioner she was dating this guy and after about a year he came down with a life changing illness. She dumped him straight away as she didn't want to spend the rest of her life nursing him.

Sounds cruel and selfish however if you do feel that way what are you supposed to do?

Why's this even news?

"Bloke's girlfriend turns out to be horrible slag".

Not the first time and won't be the last.

Why is she horrible slag? They were not married or even engaged.

Truth is that if I had discovered a girl friend was going to have a life changing condition, then I might consider breaking the relationship myself. There is no committment involved.

Married. That is a different kettle of fish. For better or for worse. That is a vow you take and if you fail to honour that, then you are lacking a moral compass.

Bloke sounds like he is better off without her in his life, along with that so called mate. But in terms of her, then I get why she did what she did.
