Premier league 2

Should the championship be called this title. There are enough big teams to justify it and it would give it more kudos. I'm not advocating PL3 or PL4. If football is to grow and stay appealing then changes , even just titles could help. Any input or shall I get my coat

Should the championship be called this title.
There are enough big teams to justify it and it would give it more kudos.
I'm not advocating PL3 or PL4.
If football is to grow and stay appealing then changes , even just titles could help.

Let's call the Premiership division 1, and the Championship division 2 and so on, (and possibly all the way down to the semi-professional leagues). Otherwise, don't keep changing the league names. Let's call the Premiership division 1, and the Championship division 2 and so on, (and possibly all the way down to the semi-professional leagues).
Otherwise, don't keep changing the league names.
That way, old duffers like me will have some idea of where we are! Looking back at history it's quite confusing sometimes.

Such and such club is a sleeping giant with a big fan base and should be in. No one wants to see the plucky little club with the small fan base who are there by merit. The day this happens is the day I stop watching football. Premier league 2 is not just a name change.

The real point is to pull up the drawbridge and just have 2 leagues of 18 teams. Everyone outside of that can go whistle.

To make it even more interesting the people behind this idea would prefer to invite clubs to the new format.

Lets face it why bother with pesky things such as league placings. Such and such club is a sleeping giant with a big fan base and should be in. No one wants to see the plucky little club with the small fan base who are there by merit.

The day this happens is the day I stop watching football. We all have to start somewhere and the hope that one day your little club makes it to the top league is what makes our football so interesting.

Do you perhaps love the idea a European Top league as well?
