Not pretty to read, but then Collymore was always a strange one (and a wife beater).

Personally, I'd rather have Wright any day of the week as he gives an honest and intelligent opinion with a bit of humour thrown in now and again.

Collymore is a complete and utter t***

There is racism and prejudice in football as there is in must of life but him banging on about himself and Campbell as if they've been victimised because of the colour of their skin is laughable. Broadcasters wont go near Collymore because he is unstable, shouts a lot and quite unpleasant. Clubs dont't want Campbell it would appear because of his attitude (see post Oxford Utd comments)

Collywobble dishes it out but can't take it when people criticise, he blames racism, he has now blocked Geoff Thomas on Twitter. He trivialises racism & prejudice with his whining.

He works for Russia Today and still tries to take the high ground.

I don't like either of them but I would take Wright over Collymore any day of the week. Collymore was one of the most talented under achievers of his generation.

He could have been a great but it never happened and he has made a career out of playing the victim. To call someone an Uncle Tom is incredibly offensive and also incorrect. I can remember on a number of occasions Ian Wright being in trouble for speaking his mind both as a player and a pundit. That is not the actions of an Uncle Tom.

Dear oh dear. Another example of where dignity has disappeared from modern life.

This is where social media gets us I suppose. IW wouldn’t appear on a TV programme with SC - fair play - but he’s happy to ‘appear with him’ and slug it out on an online platform. Maybe the dignified response would have been to not respond at all.

It's like the whole Ferdinand/Terry rubbish all over again when Ashley Cole was called a "choc ice" by Rio Ferdinand.

Social media is a dangerous place for people with no control or care for what they put out in the public eye.

Like the rest of their careers Wright comes out miles on top.

Now if you don’t mind I’ve recorded myself on Premier League legends! Wanna watch it. Is a great response.

Reminds me of the abuse Lenny Henry used to get because he was popular.

Have a feeling this goes back to when they were both at Palace.....Wright a regular first-teamer and Coolymore a young reserve.......by many accounts Stan couldn't take the ribbing Ian gave him !!

That was 26 years ago....... you'd have thought he would have grown up and got over it by now, but perhaps not.

Grudges have been know to last longer than that (especially in my family )

They only had a 9 month overlap at the club. With one being the star player of the club and the other being a youth on his 1st pro contract, I highly doubt that version of events.

Wright and Bright both took the piss out of his slight speech impediment ( lisp ), that he had at the time.
Alan Smith confirmed this at a after dinner speech he gave.
