If the Leicester rumours gain traction and they are seriously interested in Townsend then I’d be more than happy to see Iheanacho come the other way.

Personally think he’s a great player with a big future ahead. He’s not had much playing time last season so would likely jump at the chance to be at a club where he’ll likely be first choice.

His stats for Leicester when he did play I believe are good. So yeah this is definitely a player I think we should have gone for last summer and potentially could do this year.

Snipet from Premier League Scout:

Quote Rivalling Vardy

Iheanacho scored against both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the final two Gameweeks.

Limited to only 824 minutes over the season, he produced three goals and four assists.

His team-mate Jamie Vardy supplied 20 goals and two assists in 3,255 minutes.

Vardy finished as the second-highest scoring forward in the game, with 183 points.

But Iheanacho was involved in a Leicester goal every 117.7 minutes, compared with Vardy's 148.

And in his two seasons with Man City, Iheanacho scored or assisted every 75.2 and 75.1 minutes.

Disagree.

Back end of the season Iheanacho was started to show his ability. I think in our front line and style of play he could score a hat full and show his form that he had at City. Age is also on his side and I am sure there is more to come from him.Townsend has had a good couple of seasons but what is he in the team for? To score and create. He has only scored a few which given his position needs improving.

Sorry guys I think my post may have come across that i don’t rate or want Townsend but it’s more that I really like Iheanacho and think buying him would strengthen us.

Would totally keep Andros at the same time if we could.

Anyway thread was meant to be more about the possibility of signing Iheanacho sorry it that got lost.

Don't think anyone in the club hierarchy have any intentions of selling Andros, but if Leicester came calling and he was keen to leave, I agree that Iheanacho coming the other way would make the loss more bearable. Would still like to see some cash coming back this way as well though.
