Yeah, well, none of the other 19 PL squads decided to pay the little 10 million for him. And now there's talk that in the summer Man City and Bayern Munich want him. And Ajax is holding for at least 30 million. THAT is good business.

He was good in the PL for Southampton. Would have ben good at Palace too. If used in the right position

As I said when you started this thread last year, it’s too simplistic to think ‘they paid this much, so we could have got him’ - it’s not football manager.

Tadic clearly fancied a move back to somewhere he knew and was comfortable, who also offer champions league football.

In fact, he even gave an interview about it; [Link]

“It was an easy decision because I had a lot of opportunities in the Premier League and other countries but I think Ajax is best for my future.”

It wasn’t a secret then that he’s a good player, and it’s still not now. I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove exactly.

I'm not even sure why this thread has been revisited and certainly as an I told you so.

Everyone knew who he was and we were never after him.

He's done well in a league for one of the best teams in the league, but then Vincent Jansen did well and he's been cack since he moved to Spurs. He'll never go to Citeh or Bayern, especially for that money and whilst he would have been a decent player for us he wouldn't have turned out the same number of goals and assists in our team in this league.

He had a good game against Real, who were very poor but you seem to do this every time one of your millions of suggestions does something remotely half decent. You only have to look at the Andone thread where just because he scored against us you made out as if you're mystic meg. He's been poor outside of that and been kept out of the side by a 35 year old Murray who's scored 2 goals in his last 13 games.

This told you so, I'm know more than everyone attitude you give off doesn't help endear yourself to anyone.

Ha-ha, buddy, this is what wikipedia does to people who only go there to document ))))

Andone has been amazing for Brighton. Everybody there loves him, not only for his goals, but mostly gor his commitment. Taking ouu Murray from the first 11 is something very hard, as he has become quite a legend here, yet Andone is pretty much doing that. He only missed 4 games because he was suspended.

He has 5 goals in 850 minutes against Premier League level sides. His contribution has been better than any Brighton fan would have expected. Go talk to them if you don;t believe me

You said it wrong then and you're saying it wrong now. It's all about the money and the salary in football. Of course players are gonna give interviews and talk about how they always dreamt of playing at a certain club and that they wanted so much to play in the Champions League....

That's why they all go to China when they're given a fat paycheck, because they want CL ))) Especially at Tadic's age it was all about the salary. Don't be tricked by interviews. If he had gotten a Premier League salary for a star he would have stayed in the Premier League. Southampton decided not to give him that anymore. They were idiots. The other 19 sides, who pretty much all want him now, Man City included, didn't have people analysing good enough to understand what Tadic could have offered.

Now sometimes it's better to go all the way with your opinion, but other times it's just better to shut up once you've ben proven wrong.

This is so dumb it’s almost hard to believe.

He had a Premier League salary at Southampton, with 2 years of his contract left - he decided to walk away from that - if it was about getting a premier league salary, why on earth would he have left in the first place? You understand how nonsensical that is as a point?

I will bet you any amount of money you want that Man City will not be signing Tadic.

Your last sentence could not be truer.

Southampton wanted him to leave, made him know he wasn't gonna get a new contract if he didn't accept to leave and he got a deal with more years at a similar salary in Ajax.

And don;t make this about Man City, Of course there's a very low probability that he'll sign to a club of that stature, although after his show against Real Madrid I can definitely see him spotted by Barcelona from Spain as a backup out wide.

It is about clubs at Palace's level. Would he have been good for them?

You're trying to make the argument that other English clubs could not have signed him because he wanted to go to Ajax. I'm telling you English clubs can sign whoever they want because all players want to come here because the salaries are the biggest.

Tadic is too in and out of form not Premiership quality. Should do well in an inferior league.

You name dropped City twice before I mentioned it - so who’s making it about them? I’ll offer the same bet on Tadic to Barca; name your stakes.

Of course he’s good enough for Palace; in the whole thread I don’t think anyone has really disagreed with that - I certainly haven’t.

Your last paragraph is just provably incorrect - the idea that ‘English clubs can sign whoever they want’ is just make-believe.

Beer or soda

But works for any big team after the summer. It could be Barca, Man City, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, PSG. If he gets there you buy me one next time I'm in London. If he doesn't, it's on me when you're in Bucharest
