Looking at what is happening in the transfer market were theres more out than coming in.
I do think maybe we have some money to play with but, are we now at the end of the spending and the need to get the books balanced, because of the fair play rules. maybe just maybe, we are sailing close to the wind.
I know there is lots of spend spend spend fans on here who think that there 50 pound every other week means we can spend 100 million in the transfer market,
Looking we made close to 13 million profit goes to show thats good we made a profit but, thats like backing a horse thats 1/10 hoping it doesnt lose.
So all those fans who think there small contribution to the club. need to wake up to the fact that sadly its going tobe hard every season until we are making 100million profit,
fair play league come in to late, so chelsea and man city have got in before the rules changed,
So lets stop blaming the owners, because at the end off day nobody other than the owners know how much we can spend without facing penalties.(thats hard enough watching the world cup)
Keep the faith but always realise that until we have money that matchs the top 6 we need to feed of the scraps with the other teams,
now waits for the smart comments about spelling and also that im a SP lover

Something like the ninth highest wage bill. So yeah we need to rain it in.

Burnley set up is what we should be aspiring to at the moment, it appears they are better than us in the non playing areas by some way.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

That £13m profit would be more if we hadn't paid out for transfers. My point is however much we paid we should have again PLUS £13m to break even.

We've all seen FFP fines for Bournemouth have been quite small compared to what UEFA would levy on clubs in European competition.

Bournemouth were fined £4.5m for breaking FFP rules when getting themselves promoted to Premiership and earning £110m plus a year for two years so far

What I can not understand is, why it has taken this long to fine Bournemouth and £4.5m is paltry sum and a joke

Bournemouth were fined ages ago but appealed the amount and the wheels of the legal process grind very slowly.

These relatively minimal fines are not a deterrent to clubs with rich owners as Bournemouth (for example) will just look at their £4.5m fine as the entry fee to the exclusive club of riches.

If the authorities really want FFP to work then they need to come up with better deterrents like a points deduction for example or perhaps refusing to sanction the purchase of a new player unless the club can prove that they are acting within FFP rules

Always think transfer bans during a window or two is a good form of punishment.

Maybe this fine has to be offset against their budget so in a way it's like two lots of wages.
It surely has to have an effect and will count alongside their outgoings and ffp rules.
If we made 13m then they couldn't make much more when our crowds bring in at least twice theirs.
Wages aside I know.

I think we're keeping our powder dry in case RLC is up for grabs. One thing Parish has proven is that he will splash the cash to buy players the fans really want - Zaha returning, Sakho etc. If RLC is available, he'll have us front and center. Although, if we're close to breaking budget rules, I wouldn't be surprised due to size of Selhurst.

RLC must be a priority if Chelsea let him out on loan again.

I'll be amazed if Wolves aren't also fined for breaking the rules.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if their wage bill isn't that far behind ours before the season kicks off.

Optimistic as ever
