Like Deal or No Deal, Bullseye, Jeremy Kyle, Friends, Big Brother, I'm a Celebrity, The Black and White Minstrel show - sh*te shows that hold a candle to modern times and in their terrible way reveal the zeitgeist. Many of you may go for Come Dine With Me (actually pretty good - notice the foreign versions are not a patch on ours, you can't beat the Great British ar*ehole) and most for Love Island, but I'm banging the Graham Norton Show drum - overblown boring immature actors talking pure cr*p and a wannabe audience giving credence to their empty drivel amidst false laughter, canned or otherwise. Other sh*t programmes are more spectacular, but in its way the Graham Norton show has good claims to be the worst program on television. Opinions?

I disagree. Graham Norton's show is an old fashioned show where celebrities come on to promote their latest film or book and the show is only as good or bad as it's guests.

I look at the lineup each Friday before deciding whether to watch or not and am often disappointed that someone I wanted to see turns out to be so bland in real life - Johnny Depp is a prime example

A truly dreadful program

In the beginning the show was quite good as it was about dinner parties and food but after a while the focus changed and the producers obviously picked people who would obviously not get on with each other and likewise those that wanted a bit of TV fame knew that they had to act up to get on TV and that's when I stopped watching

Jeremy Kyle.

This program is on whilst I am down the gym otherwise I would never watch it. Angry women who behave like the "silver back" and that's just the audience. As for the men pathetic excuses of manhood. Why would any man agree to go on that show or Loose Women its the equivalent of bear baiting and it's about as balanced as Question Time.

I would include the reality TV programs but as I never watch them I think that would be unfair.

Understand all this is subjective but I'm lost how you think that Come Dine with me is a better program better than Friends.

Jeremy Kyle is superb television! Won't hear a word against it!

Where does he find these people? Makes me glad to be living in Switzerland, where even the most inbred never left his village farmer is not as fat, stupid, potty mouthed as the dregs of humanity he manages to find from under some stone.

Makes me laugh a lot, and glad to be over here, rather than over there.

There but for the grace of God go I

Glad

All

Over

I take it some of you are old enough to remember Blake's Seven? Mentioned for its bargain basement special effects. Anyone dressed as any kind of furry alien wore what looked like Woolies' pyjamas and you could see the zip come undone as they ran around. And when the spaceship was turning round in space you could see the cardboard background wobble and the bloke behind it turning the dowelling rod. Teenage boys loved it because they could watch Servalan strutting her stuff.

I just looked up Servalan. I thought I’d mistakenly looked up Julian Clary.

I’m quite a fan of irony, but I’m struggling to understand what ironically bad TV means. Eldorado, for example, was just bad TV wasn’t it? Where’s the irony?

Now Chucklevision.....
