Gareth Southgate - One of our Own

Looking through threads I can't believe that this hasn't been mentioned. Gareth Southgate is one of our own and now is only the third England Manager to take England to a World Cup Semi Final after Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson - what illustrious Company that is for Gareth..!! If ever there was a time to "crow about" one of our doing unbelievably well against all the odds and critics and then being loud and proud to be Palace - now is it..!! Then if things continue in terms of trends of ex England Managers going on to Manage Palace, after Sam and Roy - Gareth could/will be our next Manager..!! It could be coming Home courtesy of "One of our Own". What's the money on Sir Gareth being Palace Manager at the opening of our new Stadium? Come on Gareth, COYE and COYP...!!

Could actually be worth a punt at that. With the stadium projected to be ready for the 2021/22 season that gives Gareth another three years or so in the England job by which time the World Cup glory will have died down and England will have managed to return enough mediocre results for him to be sacked. Wonder what odds you could get on it happening?
