IN:
Guaita (Free)
Kouyate (Undisclosed; 9-11m?)
Meyer (Free)
Ayew (Loan)

OUT:
Cabaye (Free)
Delaney (Free)
Lee (Free)
Sako (Free)
Cavalieri (Free)
Jach (Loan)

For me, this is an 8/10 when you consider that we had very little money to work with and have accumulated a huge wage bill. Kouyate is a proven PL midfielder and Meyer may be one of our greatest ever signings in time. Both should cover the losses of Cabaye and RLC. Ayew will give some competition to our strikers and is a more mobile kind of player than our stable of target men.

We're left with a solid squad:

GK: Hennessey, Guaita, Speroni

LB: PVA, Souare (Schlupp if necessary)
CB: Tomkins, Sakho, Dann, Kelly (Riedewald if necessary)
RB: Wan-Bissaka, Ward

LW: Schlupp
CM: McArthur, Luka, Meyer, Riedewald, Kouyate
RW: Townsend

ST: Zaha, Benteke, Ayew, Sorloth, Wickham

With Puncheon, Kaikai, and Williams as potential cover for any of those midfield positions; we could also see Zaha or Ayew out wide. Overall we're in good shape.

A Solid 7/10 for me ... Really excellent work considering what we had money wise (based on what media / club / SP said) I think we did miss out on a Striker, which would have given us more punch ... but otherwise very happy, and probably the biggest "transfer" was keeping Zaha.

I tend to agree. Better than I expected, and not all done in the last hour, but the proof of the pudding will be how the new boys actually get on.

An upgrade for Puncheon and Kaikai would have been good
but would have liked to have taken another top team youngster on loan as was successful last year

Ayew and Kouyate are solid Premier League players but the key to the success, or otherwise, of the window will be Meyer.

If he clicks; Benteke or Wickham can score sufficient goals; and we are have a much less injury-prone season then I'm optimistic that we could be pushing for a Europa place and keep Zaha another year

7/10

I think we’ve done great and only spent 10m , compared to Fulham , wolves and Brighton. I think them 3 clubs will be under pressure to stay up after spending that amount. I think ayew will surprise a few people, cracking player!

It's pretty apparent to us all that we have hit the wage limit for a club like ours with our limited stadium income etc.

So to keep the big names and add a couple of potential high quality replacements is fantastic.

Yes it would have been nice to get another hot stuff loan, but again money or available suitable players could be a factor.

So for me.. based on FFP limitations and the potential of the new names.

As Parish said last night you can only judge its success much further down the line. But the biggest issue was Zaha and he's still ours.

Addressing the loss of Cabaye in the centre as our playmaker was the next most important issue and that, on paper, has got to be seen as having been accomplished. Of course the proof is in the pudding but Meyer - having played in the same position for Schalke could be an improvement. Maybe even a significant one!

We've all moaned about the keeper situation although Wayne has stopped the clangers but seems like Guaita will be our number one. Job done.

Attacking midfielder was next and here I'm not convinced we've improved. I don't really count RLC as a Palace player. Is Ayew better than Sako? Meh.

But then maybe we'll have a different set up this year - Kouyate is a better all-round midfielder than RLC - who obviously has fantastic potential.

Then central defence - Kouyate is also actually a really good central defender when called upon according to my WetSpam mates. I believe that is where he plays as an international. So we have cover and Dann will be back. The good thing is this means a youth player might get to play cup games.

Speaking of player development - the fact we haven't done a West Ham means that we could see some youth players emerge.

Before I started this I was toying with a 6 out of 10 but that was mainly because I find Ayew uninspiring. Now I've thought about it and pieced together the issues we had and the solutions I have to say its a solid 7 maybe even 8 given our limited funds.

7/10. 8 if Punch goes out on loan and is not in the 25 man squad.

I think a CB was needed but I'm not unhappy.

for what we could realistically have hoped to achieve, and for being affordable: 9 1/2 out of 10.

obviously not the lavish spending of some, but that was never going to happen. and we kept Wilf.

It’s ok. We needed to replace Cabaye and Loftus-Cheek. I have never seen Meyer play but hopefully he can replace Cabaye. Between Kouyate and Ayew we have hopefully replaced RLC. That was the minimum we needed to do and so therefore it’s ok. Would have loved to have had Origi. I think he would have been excellent but such is life
