Never been but Magic Rock Brewery does great beers.

This is copied from the Hudd website

There is a cinema and entertainment complex behind the North Stand, which also contains the Rope Walk Grill & Bar. Craig Murray a visiting AFC Bournemouth fan adds; 'We went for a pre-match pint at the Rope Walk. Inside it was a mixture of home and away fans and the locals were very friendly and happy to chat about football. We were also very impressed by the pub`s queuing system. Basically, a straight line queue and four staff working flat out, which meant it moved quite quickly.' This bar also offers food and shows televised football.

John Ellis a visiting Leicester City fan recommends the Gas Club on Gasworks Street, about five to ten minute walk from the Stadium. 'On our visit, there was a good mix of home and away fans. The Club does charge a 2 entry fee, but both the drinks and food were reasonably priced. You can also park in their car park at a cost of 6'. Please note that after the game the Club reverts to a 'home fans only' bar. On the main Leeds Road near to the stadium (on the opposite corner to the Mini Car Dealership and beside a Costa Coffee outlet) is the modern looking Yorkshire Rose pub. This pub normally has a mix of home and away fans in attendance and being part of the 'Two For One' chain also offers food. It is not particularly a large pub and does fill up quickly on matchdays, so if you intend going there, then get there early.

If arriving by train then Tim Oscroft informs me; 'The Head of Steam pub at the railway station is pretty good and serves food too'. Also in part of the railway station buildings is the King's Head pub, which is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and has up to ten real ales on tap. Not far from the railway station on Market Walk in the centre of town is the Corner pub, which is the brewery tap of the local Mallinsons Brewery.

Joel Mellor a visiting Liverpool fan recommends; the Magic Rock Tap bar within the Magic Rock Brewery on Willow Lane, about a mile away from the John Smith's Stadium. 'Great bar with great ales and excellent pork pies too.'

Alcohol is also made available to away fans inside the stadium, including of course John Smith's! (4.20 a pint), Heineken (4.20 a 400ml bottle), Bulmers Cider (330ml bottle 3.50), Bulmers Red (330ml bottle 4.20), Red or White Wine (187ml bottle 4).
