Great news..IMO our most underrated player who works his a..e off every game.
I dont understand why he's not picked to play for what in my view is a less than average Scottish team.

Excellent servant of the club. I think he's recently asked for timeout from the Scotland squad but I think he was omitted when the new manager took over. I can only think that they're looking to the future.

At age 30 and a midfielder, I'm surprised he was offered a 3 year deal. But his fitness levels are unreal and I guess he'll play at this level for the next few years.

Agree with Parish’s comments on this on the homepage. Jimmy is a real Palace player and a Hodgson type player too which is hopefully another good sign of Roy’s Intentions.

I guess that's him seeing his career out at Palace. A good thing, I'd say. Just hope his back issues are gone forever. Then I think this is a very wise move.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

One of my favourite players ever since he signed - always reliable.

Yep, good on him. I’m perhaps a tad surprised at 3 years, but I guess that’s from a hard financial viewpoint.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Better than having wastes of space and of fortunes as a last resort at the end of these 3 years. The example he’ll set vs those settling for the money as a squad number or pulling their socks up when a contract is at stake is no doubt worth it in Roy’s and Parish’s eyes.

He tries hard but three years is too much for a player of his ability and age unless on reduced terms

Puncheon was finished at the age McArthur is now and he arguably had done more for the club

I’m not sure Puncheon has done more than jimmy. Maybe in shorter time periods.

Puncheon was effective further up the field but now no more. There’s more to jimmy’s game in different areas and still scores. I expect he’ll be effective for a while yet, whether a regular or replacement or in between.

He’s done more circles and passed the ball to the opposition more too.

And scored a great fa cup final goal, and a beauty in cardiff in our first season back, that game was a season changer i seem to remember, but yes, few bad passes and circles to!
