Hopefully someone can help....
Can a company have free access to private property to support a planning application ?

My borehole is to be monitored by a quarry to support their quarry expansion plans. The Water Monitoring Plan says access is to be granted on reasonable terms.
The planning authority are saying that reasonable terms are not required and this is usual practice and insist I will not be inconvenienced.

Can I insist legally on 'reasonable terms' ?

Reasonable terms probably means they can have 1000 gypsies living on your land, restricts the amount of s***e they leave behind to a couple of cubic kilometres and send you the bill.

It may be the water level in yours will be what they need to moniter.
Water is a natural level as it dont run uphill.
I would speak to the boss and look interested.
You could get free maintenance if you play it cool.
