Thoughts on the breaking news stories of the big 4 supposedly meeting to discuss forming a European super league?

This has been in the pipeline for years, what are people’s thoughts? I used to be dead against such an idea but now not so much.
If the big boys want to leave f*** them. They can take their plastic fans and stadiums with zero atmosphere and play in a meaningless league with zero history.
They play to different rules to the rest of us anyway, I genuinely don’t think I would miss them. I also think that they may well end up regretting such a move. When those games become the norm they lose prestige. The whole thing would have the feel of a preseason friendly tournament and I think your average Man U or Chelsea fan would hate it.

Bye bye mega clubs you wont be missed.

A scummy idea from a scummy group of clubs. 11 of them can never be relegated 5 may or may not depending on how much they a*se lick the 11. Sorry I mean 5 could be relagated based on the completely fair structure and rules.

Seriously I hope they do go and by go that I mean no FA Cup, League Cup or Premier League.

First season their fans will love it "we're playing Real Madrid this week, next week its Bayern Munich"

Football fans in this country have been brought up on the premise that they are entitled to dream. If your club is currently 92nd you have the right to dream that one day you will reach the PL.

This proposal is a kick in the teeth for every football fan and I don't believe it will happen. Its a negotiating position for the big boys to extract concessions from UEAFA. My guess is that the big 11 really want automatic selection for the Champions League. If that is what they are after then UEFA should tell them to walk.

The best way of stopping this is if the supporters of the clubs that qualify for the Champions League and Europa League boycott these matches.

If this article is true all the teams are interested in is getting more money from EUFA & their domestic organisation (FA) by threatening them in this way.

It very much has the way of someone suggesting to the media he may leave to get more money from the club he plays for.
