Soerloth or Benteke up front with Zaha could work. Ayew should be nowhere near the first team - he was useless.

BENTEKE !!!

He should go in the January Sales we might get £1m for him wih luck !

We look very predictable bar Wilf and one dimensional I'm afraid. You could of written the script for that performance before the game. All our players whilst proficient at what they can do can be easily read and our squad looks very limited in offering alternatives. Usual suspects on the bench. We defend resolutely but always offer a lapse of concentration to the opposition which in this league is ruthlessly exploited. I really hope we can freshen this squad up in January with at least 3 or 4 new signings like under Sam, with an effort at least to bring something to the party.

I'd say this proves why he does not get game time. Any reasonable striker would place that in the far corner.

What like Benteke?

Today he did more in 10 mins than Meyer did in 75 mins. Meyer did nothing.

I thought Meyer was better than McArthur and Luka. He kept possession and did some neat interplays, while McArthur and Luka gave it away in dangerous positions and failed to win the ball. However, I agree Schlupp was probably our most threatening player despite his short spell. That is probably the first time I have ever come close to saying that. Well done Jeffrey

Benteke would have also missed it. Ayew wouldn’t have been in position to finish it and Wickham would have been on the physio table so unable to finish it either.

Rubbish, Meyer and Kouyate were the only two tonight were able to actually control and pass the ball and find one of our own. Schlupp had one shot on target (straight at the keeper), which was great, considering it usually ends up in row 25!
