It was a brilliant save. Idiotic post. Wind your neck in mate, didn't say it wasn't a good save, only he had luck with the bounce off the post.

Replace Guitas name for Speroni, and I’m sure we’ve done this thread before. For 200 odd pages. Zzzzzzzzz

VG looks faster and more agile than Wayne, but Wayne looks to have a more physical presence and is three inches taller. I'd be interested to see Vicente against Man City as in all of his three appearances so far he has had very little to do and I can't see City only having two shots on target next weekend.

To get that luck, he made a world class save down low from a shot close in - not Wayne’s forte. Time will indeed tell. So you didn't see the game at Old Trafford then?

So help me out here, struggling to follow. Last season Big Wayne was single handedly going to take is down through the league's. Peroni was the answer. Now Vincent's is a donkey that SP brought back from Spain and Wayne is our Saviour?

Also no-one has said Wayne is our saviour either. The bald facts are that Wayne has been good keeper this season and has not deserved to be dropped. Edited by PZ Eagle (16 Dec 2018 12.53pm)

The Times gave him a rating of just 5. His contretemps with Vardy reminded me of Speroni's first game for Palace against Everton all those years back which didn't have such a happy ending. Many refs other than Oliver (our best) wouldn't have given the foul. Still, first PL game with a clean sheet and a memorable save augurs well for the future.

Fair play Wayne's done well but seeing VG yesterday was a reminder we can do better. Distribution much snappier and I don't think Wayne saves the Vardy chance. Very excited to see more of Vinny G

Guiata looked very shaky with the ball at his feet under pressure and could only just make the halfway line with long clearances several times. Not saying that he won’t improve, but looked off the pace in this area to me.

VG looks a superior keeper to me.

Communication is also a factor and I think Hennessey is a head. Has anyone listened to Guiata's post match interview? He is still learning English and wanted to call everyone Mate - he came across as very personable though.
