I would have thought a MoTM performance in the game that kicks England out of the World Cup pretty well guarantees a Ballon D'Or.

Modric was of course one of two Ballon d’Or winners this year. I thought it was good of Messi and Ronaldo to not turn up, after having shared the award for the last ten years. Cheers, guys.
