You do have to wonder what the point of watch lists really are. The problem is, the state rewards itself powers to remove people because they seem a bit dodgy & you can see how easily that would be used to shut down anyone they don't like. On the other hand this moderate peaceful man has clearly done something to get on the list & that should be enough to have this dealt with before it led to the death of apparently now 4 people.

Some very angry French with "let's move on" "This Parliament will not be intimidated by terrorist or criminal attacks" Because you have security, happy to leave the public to get shot though.

I don't know the circumstance of what has happened or why but for a senior politician to say "let's move on" on the same day as 3 people are murdered seems disrespectful to their loved ones and to the French nation. I can't believe he meant it as it came out I thought Khan's "Price you pay for living in a big city was bad" but I think this tops this. Anyway my sympathy for the victims families.

It's amazing that we find criticism for the eastern European countries that are strictly maintaining their borders to not allow this issue in.
