Like most I am disappointed so far Crystal Palace have not been linked or mentioned with anything to do with Tranfers, which considering 2 of our centre forwards are accident prone with goal scoring stats peretty non existance I fail to see why we have not so far bought someone who can put the ball into the back of net.

Whats even worse than that our galaxy of stars themselves are not even being mentioned in transfer , I think that is the most telling.

7 hrs to go.......

Yet another cr*p window with probably no more signings as SP thinks the squad he has can just about keep us up.
While ever grateful for saving the Club in 2010,no ambition, and perhaps time for him to retire to the South of France with sweet Susannah and sell his interest to new investors who can take us to the next level.

PALACE LATEST

It's been a quiet month for Crystal Palace and reporter Michael Bridge thinks it might stay that way.

"My understanding is Palace never had an interest in Michy Batshuayi, while there is nothing in other stories suggesting Saido Berahino could be coming.

"There was talk this morning of Everton's James McCarthy coming in, but again, I am told that is not the case, while I cannot see Scott Dann, who is very highly regarded here, going out on loan either.

"But I have been told by some Palace directors, 'Never say never...'"

You can't say "never" when you're busy saying "FFS".

So i had a conversation with a colleague of mine whose Dad is a business partner of Steve Parish and the Yank investors.
His inside information is that Yohan Cabaye has been officially approached to come back, though he didnt confirm whether the approach was successful (plus i think free agents have a few days past the window to sign?)

He also gave me some somewhat astonishing information regarding the Yank investors..
Apparently when they bought their shares, they were unaware that teams could be relegated from the Premier League.
Since learning this they've wanted out and Steve Parish has been assisting them in trying to find suitable people to sell their shares to. They aren't willing to invest any money into an asset they no longer want anything to do with.
There will be no further cash investment from the American investors, so any money spent will be from Parish's pocket only.

I’m slightly sceptical that investors putting tens of millions of pounds into something haven’t done due diligence and wouldn’t understand how the league worked.

Its completely true, they were apparently absolutely stunned that relegation existed as in the US its not a thing that happens in any type of Sport.
Why do you think theres been no money for so long? FFP was an okay excuse 2 years ago but not anymore.
The Americans no longer want to be involved.

They were supposed to be funding the ground refurb. Oh well the main stand should last another 30 years

Yep. No point shovelling out the sh*t, to shovel a load more in. Rather nothing than the dross that came in last January

Hang on we spent about 17 mill in the summer

10m kouate and 7 m sign on fee for ze german apparently

Hardly lack of spending for a club our size and recent too

This has been a very odd window from Palace.
We have let half a dozen players go (admittedly not first team) and brought in one player (Sako) who has yet to prove his form or fitness this season .
Some will argue Roy only uses around 18:players anyway so it’s not necessary to carry 25.
It’s taking a risk though when we could be without Wilf for a few games after his charge and Roy seems reluctant to test the fitness of Benteke or Wickham in the premier league.
Are we really relying on Ayew and Townsend to come up with the goals to win us games in the forthcoming fixtures?
